Charity of the Year
Our chosen Charity of the Year is the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).
The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea and is powered primarily by kind donations. This year they celebrate their 200th anniversary of their search and rescue service.
With their wealth of experience and expertise, the RNLI are a world-leading modern emergency service, separate from the coastguard and independent from the government.
Every day of every year, people of all backgrounds get into danger in the water. Their volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards help and rescue thousands of people and have saved over 143,000 lives since they began in 1824.
Our Torbay Otter team have supported RNLI for a few years, raising over £3020 for the charity.
