Ceanothus ‘Yankee Point’ – 3 litre pot

Ceanothus are known for their impressive flower displays. They attract pollinators and beside colour can bring fragrance to the garden. Ceanothus can be trained to cover walls and fences.
Ceanothus Yankee Point is an evergreen, vigorous shrub with spreading habit. It can be trained and tied in. It produces masses of dark blue flowers in late spring/ early summer. Foliage is small and glossy with deep dark green colour. Because of its vigorous spread and relatively compact height it is ideal for borders and as ground cover.

Care Instructions:
For best results, plant in the spring when the soil is no longer frozen. If you buy container grown plant in the summer, plant as soon as possible. Plant in full sun position ideally sheltered from strong winds. The plant can bed damaged by too wet, not well drained soil.
Adequate watering is essential after planting, and the soil should be kept consistently moist to ensure the plant establishes well. After plant is established, it is fairly drought resistant and depending on your soil conditions should not require regular watering.
Deadheading is not necessary but to maintain the plant’s appearance remove faded flowers.
Feeding in the spring with 50g to 80g per m2 of soil of balanced feed will help to encourage new growth but is not essential and doesn’t have to be regular.
Ceanothus can be trained and tied-in along the walls and fences. If you intend to train you plant than regular pruning and tying-in new shoots for support will be required.
