Update: 9/9/2024

We have the results of our colleague Hannah Taunton’s race earlier today. Although not in the medal spot this time, Hannah came fifth with a time of 4 minutes 38.98 seconds – which is a season best! Huge congratulations Hannah, we hope you’ve enjoyed your trip to Paris 2024!

If you’re enjoying watching the Paralympics in Paris – then you might want to keep an eye out for a very special Otter team member who is taking part.

Hannah Taunton is competing in the T20 1500m at Paris 2024. To see how she gets on, tune in on Friday Sept 6th at 10:09 BST.

Hannah has a condition that affects her speech and language. She trains really hard and really loves her running, competing regularly against athletes who do not have an intellectual impairment.

She broke the T20 5000m world record at the British Championships 2020 which were held at the Manchester Regional Arena. Then, at Tokyo 2020 she went on to win Bronze at her Paralympic debut. Here she also achieved a new personal best of 4:35:34.

All the team at Otter and particularly our Taunton branch are incredibly proud of Hannah, who is a true inspiration. We are all hoping she will be able to follow up on her Bronze from Tokyo.

Fingers crossed for Friday Hannah, we’ll be cheering you on!
